ARREST (ARMED FORCES) REGULATIONS

Members of the armed forces cannot be arrested on civil warrant for debt without the consent of the naval, military or air force authority, as the case may be. This is the general effect ,of -the Arrest (Armed Forces) Emergency Regulations gazetted last night. The regulations are similar to those in force in the Great War to ensure that creditors cannot deprive the Crown of the services of men in the armed forces.
