MEMBERS IN KHAKI
There'are few gatherings in the Dominion today which do not include among those present men wearing the uniforms of the fighting services. One of the features associated with the first day’s proceedings in the
House of Representatives was the presence of four of the members in khaki. They were Lieutenant A. G. Hultquist (Bay of Plenty), Staff-Ser-geant E. P. Meachen (Marlborough), Private C. F. Skinner (Motueka), and j Private T. L. Macdonald (Mataura), j Another reminder of the service being rendered by members of Parliament . was given when indefinite leave of 1 absence on military duty was granted | Brigadier J. Hargest, D. 5.0., M.C., I (Awarua), Major J. M. Allen (Hau-j raki), Captain A. N. Grigg (MidCanterbury), and Captain W. J. Lyon j (Waitemata). j
