s ' — '/ I . ■< ■ i The white Samoyede Noodles, which .{has been granted official status as c mascot of C Company. 21st (Auckland) Battalion, marched with the second echelon troop's through Auckland streets on Saturday morning. Wearing his jacket, which bears his name and a sergeant’s stripes, Noodles trotted happily at his master’s heels, and was ' ap- ■ plauded by many in the crowd which i saw the march. Later, when the troops , were entraining for camp after an | afternoon's leave. Noodles was carried ; across his master’s shoulders. The dog ll has received official permission to ac--1 company the echelon overseas.
