Tis about our friend Robie He s well known to you Yes he has a cat - And four kittens too. , . f „ He has christened her. Minnie ; -he well knows her. name, . .. And because of this pussy He has risen to fame. His leave at week-ends ’ He often declined, < He couldn’t leave Minnie While she was confined. I He nursed her by day And he watched her by night; - He made her a bed And she smiled with delight. He called on the cooks And somehow contrived To collect all the tit-bits On which she survived. He found her a home, The old Records marquee.
- Here her babies were born Three Toms and a She. Now Robie’s quite proud l Of Minnie’s quartet, , I Tom, Dick and Harry f And little Nanette. ■ He’s decided to breed On a much bigger scale And advertise freely That he’s kittens for sale. He says he will study And become a real vet.; He’s promised the Colonel A cat for a pet. He intends to buy land, Ten acres or more, And start a cat farm Right after the war. So let’s drink to Robie, And let it be known That he was the founder Of an Army cats’ home.
