SOLDIER DROWNED ON MANOEUVRES
WHANG AREI, May 2. Private Francis William Poll, son of Constable Poll, Papakura, was drowned when a Bren gun-carrier fel- over a 12ft. bank and overturned in a stream during cross-country manoeuvres yesterday Three other men imprisoned in the' carrier were rescued and removed to the Kawakawa Hospital suffilling from shock.
