warp and woof, with the eternal thread of His Divinity; dyed in the very heart’s blood of His Divine Being. ’Tis no earthly thing, this cloak of love, but the symbol of our spirit’s sonshsip and our spirit’s power, to be born nobly and unashamed. Life without its covering must needs be cold, naked, crude and undefined; with its enabling influence it can never lose its fire until it is consumed in the Great Creator’s flame. Then gather it closely round you in your need. ’Tis yours by sacred right; His wondrous gift to man through man.
Folks need a lot of loving in the morning; The day is all before, with cares beset The care we know, and they that give no warning; For love is God’s own antidote for fret. Folks need a heap of loving at the noon-time — In the battle lull, the moment snatched from strife Halfway between the waking and the croon-time, While bickering and worriment are rife.: Folks hunger so for loving at the night-time, When wearily they take them home to rest— At slumber-song and turning-out-the-light-time— Of all the times for loving, that’s the best! Folks want a lot of loving every minute — The sympathy of others and their smile! Till life’s end, from the moment they begin it, Folks need a lot of loving all the while. LOVE God is love and He has overspread our lives with a rich mantle woven,
