GIFTS FOR Y.W.C.A.

A generous donation of foodstuffs from the Pahautanui Women’s Institute was gratefully received .at the Y.W.C.A., to help in entertaining mon of the forces. Fresh vegetables from the W.W.S.A. land group were also much appreciated, as was the gift of electric fans for use in the warmest weather. On Saturday a group of helpers, under Mrs. Martin, assisted, and yesterday the Progressive Wo men’s Club, under Miss Oldham’s direction, gave assistance. The Rev. A. Salmond conducted the service and an entertainment was arranged by Miss A. Lawson, assisted by a group of artists.
