BRITISH SAILORS’ SOCIETY
Saturday and Sunday at the British Sailors’ Society were outstanding days for attendance. Men of the merchant navy, the air force and the army attended. On Saturday they were taken for a bus drive, and entered into a highly enjoyable game of football at Hutt Park. ' They returned to the society’s rooms for tea and a social evening. -i ' ■
There was a big crowd for Sunday’s hot tea, and a short song service followed the church service conducted by Mr. J. Lee.
