CONCERT AT TRENTHAM CAMP

The large concert hail of the Salvation Army hut at Trentham military camp proved to be too small for the great company of men who greeted the Wellington Citadel Band on Monday night last, when a first-class musical programme was presented.. The band was conducted by Brigadier Albert Robinson, and, in addition to selected band numbers, items were given by Mrs. Lemin (piano), Miss E. Miller (piano-accordion), Bandsmen C. Fitzwater (cornet solo), E. Tong (vocal), and C. Robinson (vocal). The community singing interludes, conducted by the chairman, Chaplain-Captain G. R. Thompson. were greatly appreciated. Chaplain-Major Searle, on behalf of the institute manager, Brigadier A. Perry, and the men assembled, passed a vote of thanks to the bandsmen and assisting artists. Transport was arranged by the Wellington Automobile Association.
