Six Airmen Reported Missing TWO OTHERS DEAD Killed During Enemy Air Raid An air casualty list issued-yes-terday contains eight names. Six airmen are reported missing on operations, and the other two were killed during an enemy air -raid. The list is as follows: Sergeant- James Hanley 'Hamill, R.N.Z.A.F., missing on air operations. Father: Mr. P. Hamill, P.O. Box 130, Masterton. Sergeant Hamill was born in Masterton in 1916 and was educated at the Wairarapa High School and St. Patrick’s College' (Silverstream). He qualified for his A licence in December, 1938, as a member of the Wairarapa and Ruahine Aero Club. He was accepted for war service in the early part of 1949. Pilot Officer Gilbert Peter Lewis Bedstone, R.N.Z.A.F., missing on air operations. Mother: Mrs A. Redstone, 19 Hospital Road, Gisborne, Pilot Officer Redstone was born in Gisborne in 1916 and was educated at the Gisborne High School. Sergeant James Clark, R.N.Z.A.F., missing on air operations. Mother: Mrs. N. Clark. 40 Ocean View Road. Milford. Sergeant Clark was born in Scotland in 1920 and was educated at the Gisborne Central School. Sergeant Allan Hugh Fraser, R.N.Z.A.F., missing on air operations. Wife: Mrs. A. M. Fraser, nursing staff. Public Hospital, Napier. Sergeant Fraser was born in Wellington in 1911 arid was educated at the Pallia tua District High School. Sergeant Reginald Lee Robinson,
R.N.Z.A.F., killed during air raid. Father: Mr. 11. F. Robinson, 16 Rotherham Street. Riccarton. Sergeant Robinson was born in Chr’istchurcn in 1916 and was educated at Christchurch Technical School. Sergeant Malcolm Bruce Crooks, missing on air operations. Mother: Mrs. E. Bel 1 , 66 Epuni Street, Wellington. Sergeant Crooks was born in Wellington in 1916 and was educated at I Wellington College. Sergeant Frederick George II indr up, R.N.Z.A.F., missing on air operations. Mother: Mrs 11. C. Evies, 10 Swan Street, Napier. Sergeant Hindrup was born in Dannevirke in 1917 and educated at the Westport Technical High School Leading Aircraft.mail Horace Dean Simonsen, K.N.Z.A.F., killed during enemy air raid. Father: Mr. N.. R. Simonsen, Rai Valley. Leading Aircraftman Simonsen was born in Havelock in 1909, and was educated at Marlborough College. He was a member of the Royal New Zealand Territorial Air Force in 1938
