NATIONAL CLUB OPEN
Yesterday ’-he cheery rooms at the National Club were crowded with men of the services, who enjoyed tin 1 com fortahle homelike surroundings ami the excellent meals served. Wellington East electorate was ! n charge, with Mrs. 11. E. Avery as convener, assisted by Mesdann-s H. II Wray, A. S Skelly. A S. Morley, 11. J. Martin. .1 W Thompson, Misses Lea Avery and .Joan Martin. On Saturday the tea dance hostesses at the club’s evening were the Misses Part Hogg and Betty Me Laren, their assistants being Miss Sylvia and Nora McLaren, Ngara Joyce, Kathleen Pears Trudy Stone, Beverley Luke, Nancy James, L. C. Clifford and Mrs. W. B. Parker.
Goering now appears to bear every title but the right one.
