Promoted To Be Squadron Leader

Flight Lieutenant A. C. Deere; D.F.C., with bar, has been promoted to Squadron Leader, according to cabled advice received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Deere, Plymouth' Street, Wanganui. ~ He was awarded the D.F.C. in June for flying exploits in France, ; during which he ’ shot down five planes.
