Two Brothers Drowned

Waiouru Military Camp

The first troops from the Northern Military District for Waiouru Military Camp will be the First Field Regiment, New Zealand Artillery, which is now in training at the Rotorua racecourse. Most of the men will trek by road, entering Waiouru about the middle of November. It is not expected that infantry territorial units in the district will go to Waiouru before December. —

During an air raid warning a man fainted and was given a nip of brandy. Apparently he kept his head in the emergency.
