Rev. Hemana Delivers Stirring Address

On Sunday morning, a well-attended church parade was taken ■ jointly by the Rev. Hemana, of Rotorua, and the Rev. Taiapa, of Wairarapa. Rev. Hemana delivered a stirring and inspiring address, reminding the men of the heritage of warriorship that was theirs, and calling upon them to prove worthy of that heritage by fighting to the last man, not so much against the Germans, as individuals, but rather against the powers of greed and evil that were, marshalling in oppression of the weak and in a final endeavour •to halt the progress of Christianity. Amongst the visitors at church were the Hon. Mr. Langstone, Sir Apirana Ngata, Mr. Kingi Tahiwi, Mr. Tai Mitchell, wives and relatives of the Arawa boys, various friends, and several pakeha fellow-officers.
