“NO SURRENDER”

We must keep the Flag a-flying. And keep doing, till we’re dying, Moving stumbling blocks from out the weak ones’ way. There must never be surrender While the young ones, sweet and tender Need our guidance, care, and watchfulness, today. When the bait of fashion presses. And the wrong, as right it dresses. May our youth be trained to boldly answer, “No!" Bring themselves up, straight and steady, Always, for the right and ready, Telling Alcohol, that sly old fox to go! YVha’ would folks who like their liquor, Think, if out, our Cause should flicker. And no light for generations, shine from us? They would say our work was over, And themselves in victor’s clover, And they’d say 'tis gone for good, this Temperance fuss. No! We rise in “No Surrender” To King Alcohol, offender! But our weapons must be ready all the same. So, with prayer to (k>d, we’re bending, He will still, our Cause be tending. And will help us with His “Pentecostal flame.” —bv Ethel L. Piper, (12/8/50, Auckland.)
