“WHITE RIBBON” DAY SPECIAL.

Springlands.— lune 15th. Mrs. E. Wells, W.R. Agent, presided over good attendance. “White Ribbon” Dav celebrated by all members reading articles from any issue of the paper, and these proved very interesting and helpful, one dating as fur hack as 1932. A resolution of sympathy passed to Mrs. Wells in the loss of her brother, members standing a moment in silence. Resolution of congratulation and appreciation passed to Mrs. Peryman for her long years of service as Editor and Manager of the “W.R.” The congratulations of members to Mrs. R. Workman, whose son was mentioned in Despatches in the Middle Fast to he conveyed. The President read a letter from Mrs. Peryman inviting Unions to discuss the suggestions set out in May issue. This was done and it was decided to support the suggestion to replace monthly reports with articles of interest to outsiders as well as members, such as Current topics, Parliamentary jottings, Health notes and recipes, or such other material a\ailahle. It was also decided to recommend that if reports were published, that they he only of special meetings or functions. Mrs. Roussell appointed to brinj. forward notes from “W.R.” to he discussed each meeting. Mrs. Kinzett appointed to Flower and Philanthropic Committee in order to keep in touch with absent members.
