President's Letter
Dear White Ribboners, — Our heart* go out in deepest sympathy to all who are lull of anxiety to-day concerning their sons. To show our sympathy we must do our le\el best to break the power of the liquor traffic which, like other powers of evil, seems to he getting all it seeks. Because we stand for liberty arid truth and justice, let us throw our whole weight into carrying out the plans of work decided on at our recent gathering in Nelson. The “Statement of Facts” should he used by every Union to contact others not interested in the abolition of the ancient evil of liquor drinking. Then the petition must be speeded up. Get everyone over 21 years to sign who will. Our objective is 200,000 signatures, as quickly as possible. Never be afraid to stand firmly against drink, which is even today destroying as many if not more than Hitler’s armies. God bless you abundantly. We have lost our beloved leader, Mrs. T. E. Taylor. She gave her \ery best for our work. We arc left to carry on and follow her great example as she followed her Master. Yours with lo\ing greetings, JESSIE HIETT.
