Once again we commemorate the coming of the C'hrist Child to earth. May the joy-bell* I** ringing in all hearts. It Is a season for rejoicing. Much has tended to depress workers in the year so nearly closed. I-giok not upon failures and doubts; think of what has l»een accomplished. May Xmas be a season of joy to all White Riblioners, and may we each one do all we can to help others to rejoice and have a merrytime. those who ne mL Give help, pive sympathy, pive kindness, pive our best pifts, and spend ourselves freely in ihe service of others. ‘That empty cradle-stall holds not the Christ; K'ull-grown, Hi leads to-day where life is served. His worshippers they are, And they alone who follow in His way.” AN APPRECIATION. Too often we criticise, too rarely we praise. We pray that she may long be spared to carry on the pood work she does, not only in the Temperause cause, but in other spheres in which she is actively engaged.”
