WORK AMONG SEAMEN. Please answer the following question*, and send replies to Mrs Norrie. 1(0 Beverley Road. Timaru, by December 31st, 1931: 1. Does your Union take interest in the work of seamen? 2 Does your Union have a special day, when the work among seamen is brought under the notice of members? 3. Does your Union send literature of any kind? I. Do menders make comfort bags for seamen? Do members visit sick seamen in hospital and take flowers and fruit? (1. Do members help to entertain seamen in their homes or elsewhere? Unions who live in non-seaport towns could do some of these things: knit a senrf. a pair of socks, or make a comfort bag.
The Southland District Convention will he held in Stobo Hall, Invercargill, on November 11th, at 10 am. Branches are requested to send in remits and resolutions, and to have reports in the hands of the Executive Secretary not later than Octol>er 11th.
