AT A QUAKER'S MEETING.
President Hoover attends the Friends’ Church—a small building—and since he is President, the curious crowd has overtaxed the place. Of course, naturally, the offerings are larger. The officers of the Church met and discussed it, and decided to omit the passing of collection plates hereafter, as it looked commercial. So the members mail in theiT gifts.
