SOUTH CANTERBURY EXECUTIVE.
June 19. Mrs I .ill presided. A motion of sympathy with Mrs Kippenberger in her sad loss was passed, members standing. Mrs Kippenberger sent In her resignation as Secretary, and Miss Bishop was appointed. Mrs Bill's itinerary was arranged: Pleasant Point, Wednesday, August 6th; Pairlie Thursday, August 7th; Temuka. Friday, August Bth.
Work among young people was discussed, and the formation of LT.L. branches strongl> favoured as stimulating the interest of parents and voters.
Mrs Dill had asked for organisers' services for South Oinlerbury in September next. Unions to arrange for accommodation and work up meetings for the Orpaniser to address. Decided to hold each meeting of Pxecutive in Timaru.
The following resolution to District Convention was ratified by the Executive: —“That as it is considered neces sary that District Presidents, being members of the N.Z. Executive, be present at Convention, it is advisable that their expenses be paid by the N.Z. Treasury.”
The five minutes speech competition, on any subject bearing on W.C.T.U, was recommended.
