Mr Massey, 300,000 strong, From Canterbury’s rolling plains, and Westland's coasts along; From Auckland's queenly city, Come voters strong and true, And, with a grand majority, present our cause to you. Brave Southern towns are all alive. Determined we shall win \gainst “the vilest fiend of all,” the Trade in waste and sin. A deal 1 hat’s square, a vote that's fair, Wc ask from every man, Anil Oamum and Timuru art with us in the plan. The vote of Invercargill shows a purpose deep and strong, And everywhere the feeling reigns that Drink has ruled too long. As Premier of our lovely land, we claim your strongest aid To help to free us from the grip of this most deadly trade. 300,000 voters true, who love the highest good, Now ask that votes and prayers and pleas by you be understood. We’re knocking at the Nation’s Halls, our purpose do not doubt, We claim the hare majority to vote th«traffic out. 1 hen write your name on fame's great scroll as champion of the right, And sc.' New Zealand’s voters rise to end Drink’s bitter blight. We re coining, Mr Massey, now, we’re coming more and more. Till Drink and all its crime and woe are driven from our shore.
