Dear Sisters,— You will be interest'd to know that a women’s branch of the Bible, in St itc Schools League was formed on Oct. Ist, in tlu schoolroom of Pitt - street Meth (list Church, when the following ladies were elected : President, Mrs. A. C. Caughcv ; Vice-Presidents, Mrs. Crosslev (Church of England) ; Mrs. jolly (Presbyterian), Mrs. Ready (Methodist), Mrs. Hayward (Salvation Army) ; Treasurer, Mrs. H. R. Hesketh ; City Secretary, Miss Miller; Press Secretary, Mrs. Gawler ; (W.C.T.I ~, Deputation Secretary, Miss Ilatmm lid ; Literati re Secretary, Mrs. Cook ; Teachers’ Secretary, Miss II mper ; Electoral Secretary, Mrs Kottril ; Kindred Organisations, Mrs. Hewitt ; Kaipara Klectorate, Mrs. Dunningham ; Prayer Secret-irv (W.C.T.U.), Mrs. Scan’en. '1 h * various Secretaries to report monthly to the Women’s League. Canon Garland, at a meeting on Monday night, Sep. .toth, spoke very warmly of the kindn of tli * W.C.T.U. in coming forward and supporting the League at the 1 e ginning, when it needed sirmrrt.
Having taken up the work of Prayer Secretary, I feel t’ at I need the prayers of all my Whtc Ribbon Sisters, for the task is great, inasmuch as I want to c ill
the whole of the Auckland Province to prayer. Will all members of th * Vnion who read this letter sneak to the ministers, prayer m e ing leaders, Sunday school Superintendents, Christian Endeavour members, and .ill workers everywhere in their own d'str ct aid ask them to pray—- “ That God, in His own po d time, will establish His Word in the State Schoo’s of \ew /ea laud, and that it may hive free course and be glorified.” —And will vou, inv de-*r prav each day at 12 o’c’occ.
