Vicar: Rev. Canon Jordan
Sunday, June 30th, being the anniversary of the reopening ' of Holy Trinity Sunday School, under the superintendence of Miss Nelmes and her teachers, prizes were distributed. The attendance was large, between seventy and eighty being present. The Rev. Canon Jordan presided. Before asking Canon Jordan to present the prizes, TMJss Nelmes, m a few happy remarks, expressed regret that every child on the roll had not qualified for a prize. She regretted that the attendance had not been more regular, but hoped that m the coming year there would be a great improvement and that next year she would require a coach and pair to carry the prizes to the school. Canon Jordan, m a few earnest words, urged the chidren to be regular at Sunday school and to . prepare their lessons and to conduct themselves both m going and returning from school m a proper manner. The good name of the school was largely m their keeping,
and if they behaved unseemly it would bring discredit • on -the school and the ~ Innocent would suffer with the guilty. He urged them also to be regular m their attendance at the morning church service, and when there to behave as good boys and girls should. As each child's name was called the Canon presented the prizes With suitable words of encouragement. Altogether about .fifty poizes were distributed. The Rev. Canon expressed himself as very pleased with the satisfactory manner m which the school was ' conducted, and thanked Miss Nelmes and the stall of teachers for their labor of love.
