By the very large congregation that assembled m the Church at our confirmation service, it was very evident that the people were gratified at the return -of the Bishop, and to see him looking so well. He seemed tired; and no wonder for he had plungedl with heart and soul into his great work that was waiting for him m every parish m the Diocese. The (confirmation service was a very impressive one. There were 44 m all that knelt and received the blessing—22 male and' an equal number of females. The confirmees made their first communion on Christmas Day. Our next responsibility is to hold them and to take care of them. Next week they are being called together to form a Junior Communicants' Guild, and the vicar is inviting all those who were confirmed last year to join them with a view to continue their teaching and to take this communion m the first Sunday m each month as a corporate body. Our Christmas services were just delightful, m every sense of the word. 346 communicants knelt m holy, happy reverence to feast upon the Bread of Life. Nothing but this mighty witnessing will save the world.
