Vicar: Rev. G. W. Davidson

After four months' absence on sick leave the Vicar was warmly welcomed home at a social m the Town Hall, He is much cheered by the expressions of sympathy and goodwill. At the annual meeting of parishioners the balance-sheet showed, that the finances had gone back about £50, chiefly owing to special expenditure of a non-recurring char-, acter. Subscriptions decreased £25, but the collections made up the deficiency. The offerings for Missions were greater than usual. The. Vicar urged the adoption of a scheme for raising .£SOO, to wipe off the bank overdraft, and provide something towards a much needed parish hall. The Vicar urgently, requires a new car, the cost. of upkeep of the old one being excessive. The Vicar has spent on the ear, during the year, £86 10s, more than his allowance. Church officers elected :— Churchwardens, Mr G, C. Williams, Mr A. Clark; auditor, Mr R. H. White; vestry, Messrs R, H. White, G. Clark, V. Goodrick, W. Lisette, W. Malenoir, W. Spargo, S. Viles, Major Warren, Athol Williams, W. T. Williams.

The Vicar thanked Canon A. Williams and the Rev. H. Blathwayt for valuable help, also the lay-readers, Messrs A.-M. Williams, G. C. Williams, . W. Spargo and Major Warren.

Spargo for valuable help m conducting services; to the organists^ Misses Clark, Mrs Warren, Miss Ada Williams, Miss , Gilmour, Miss McAulay, and Mrs Lethbridge.
