Vicar : Canon E. D. Hice. The chief event of last month was the visit of the Rev. Crichton McDouall, of North China. He preach- \ ed to a packed church on the Sunday after the Ascension, and the Schoolroom was. crowde.d_.for. the meeting on the following : Tuesday. He inspired ,. everybody. The' collection at the meeting amounted to £15. . J On the following Sunday the collections for Melanesia amounted 'T to over £18. - The Vicar was laid up for a fortnight last month, and we are very grateful to the Rev. -T. Fisher , for; taking all the services one Sunday; _ The Bishop' kindly preached on the : . following Sunday evening. -" 7.7 .7. The Vicar's dancing class is goingv again this winter." On May 24th •■•the Young Women's Bible Class, under' Mrs Macfarlane, entertained the other Bible classes ' at a very jolly social evening.On June 10th Miss M. Faulknor entertained the infant Sunday School for the afternoon, when their prizes were presented. • The Bishop .confirmed six married adults on" June 21st. ' -
