During. Lent this year we are having a course , of sermons on Thursdays on "Temptation," one on Sunday mornings on ' ' The Prayer Book, "* and on Sunday evenings. -a course of Mission sermons, the Mission Hymn Book being used. With these notes we. would wish every parishioner a holy Good Friday and a blessed and happy Easter. Easter is the only Church festival without a shadow of sadness on it and we can keep it best by coming to the Holy Communion, and partaking of the Risen Life of Him who died and rose again that we might live. It is a wonder hoAV anyone can be^apathetic, with the lesson of Easter before him. Jesus — Man — rose- again; therefore death is robbed of its sting — and becomes a door, opening into a better world.
We were glad to have Mr Turner Williams -with us on March 19th, and hope his visit was successful.
: Confirmation classes are now m full swing- m preparation for Whit Sunday> - when « the Bishop will be here.. So -far over 40 candidates have offered- themselves.
