The Sunday School picnic to Parndo'n. Park on : February 11th was a great success. It was nice , to .see so many parents and friends there. , Owing to the devoted work of over -twenty decorators the church looked very ', beautiful for the Harvest Festival on Sexagesima Sunday; a splendid lot of produce and flowers was sent m by many parishioners. All the services were well attended. M!ost of ..the produce was sent to St. Mary's Home, but four sacks of vegetables were sent to the G.F.S. Lodge.
The Vestry has had to cancel the order for the new pipe, organ, -as it could get. no satisfaction from the contractor,- who was; given, the order two years ago. All that; time/ has been, lost, "... -and we -are now calling
fresh tenders. It is very disappointing;/-. -7 ' ! "•"
The. Lenten, services - have beeii fairly well attended. There were 47 Communicants on Ash Wednesday. The Vicar is preaching three courses of sermons, on Sunday- mornings on "Friendship with Jesus," on Sunday evenings on "The Way of SalA'ation,"' and on Thursday evenings on ' ' Silence. ' ' The children ? s selfdenial money is for the, Church of England Waifs and Strays Society, and the adults' money is beirig divided between St. Mary's and St. Hilda's Homes,
