H.B. Clerical Society.
The Hawke's Bay Clerical Society, is now haying monthly meetings,: ,the ; average attendance , being about a dozen. Last month the brethren met at tlavelock as the guests o£ Canon and Mrs Lush. ; intercession service /m. the church a visit wasi paid, to , the Church Primary School^ wher d an. excellent work is being carried on. The subject, for the meeting , wa^s. Theosdphy . The Dean gave a resume of Miss. McNeile's book, showing how she found it impossible^ to be a theosophist and Church /woman at the same time. A usefiy. discussion followed m which all tooM part. The conclusion arrived at war/that the best way of fconibating tlfe teaching of this cult is ; to
give more definite ; teaching : m regard to the articles of our faith^ also to encourage and help ' our people to practise meditation. . As , the next meeting falls. on Day it will be precede^ by a Choral Eucharist at , 10.3,0 a.m. m St., Matthew 'a, Hastings.
