Vicar: Rev. A. P. Clarice. Lay Reader: Mr MeCutcheon. The annual service m connection with the G.F.S. was held m All Saints' Church on Monday, 24th June. The annual meeting, of the Gleaners' Union, was held on Friday, 28th June, a very fair number of Gleaners and friends being present. Miss Leslie kindly assisted, us by giving a most inspiring address on " Work Amongst the Lepers." The Vicar gave a brief sketch of the speeches given at the annual riveting of the great Church Missionary Society, and suggested that the note struck at the meeting, viz.,
victory, should be ours, too, for the next twelve months. Mr. E. McCutcheon followed m the same strain. The report, which was read by our energetic secretary, ; Miss L. Davis, was very encouraging. The total receipts were over £80, including proceeds of sale of work (£46) and amount m boxes (about £15). There . are 50 Gleaners .m , the branch. Miss Lucy -Davis was unanimously elected Secretary, Misses Clarke and Smart Captains, and Miss C. Clarke Magazine Secretary.
