Vicar : Rev. J, A. Lush, JB.A, The annual meeting has been fixed for July 30th. We are all looking forward to an excellent attendance. One or two important matters will be put before the meeting for open discussion, e.g., the enlargement of the Church and the problem of pew rents. Mothers' Union. — Meetings for August — On the 4th m Church, on the 18th m schoolroom. We hope to have a special speaker on the 18th. Missionary Guild. — The Working Party is doing good work. As yet fine weather has favoured its meetings. Next meeting, August 6th, at the Vicarage. The Children)' s Band is going ahead ; rain prevented one meeting during, the month. . Please remember " Intercession " every Fourth Sunday after the services. The Scouts are having a rest during the rainy weather. It is hoped to arrange a gymnasium) class for them. , BAPTISMS. July 7— Marjorie, daughter of Harold John and Sarah Anna Kirkman, .Mangatereterei July 14 — Doris Jean, daughter of Duncan William and Jane Barker Macdoriald, of Maharahara.
BURIALS. July 2— Harry Cook, aged 58 years. Judy 13— Sophia Mitchell, aged 75 years. S. MARK'S, CLIVE. The meeting arranged for July 10 had to be held on July 11, owing to the weather, thus . the attendance was not quite so large as' it might have been. It was a good opportunity to talk over Church matters. We hope to meet again on. Wednesday, August 7. . The annual meeting was held on July 23, m the Oddfellows' Hall. The. Clive Vestrymen and the members of the Olive Committee were present. A very satisfactory balance-sheet was_ presented by Mr. Sinclair, Treasurer to the Committee. Most of the balance m hand is earmarked for Church repairs. Mr. Campbell and Mr. Gushing were re-nominated as Vestrymen, and the retiring members of the Committee were re-elected, with Mr. Sinclair as Treasurer. The ladies of the Committee undertook to take charge of the washing of the Church. The men undertook to take charge of the lamps, lighting, ringing the bell, etc. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to those who one way and another had helped to keep the Church m order, the Sunday School scholars for cleaning, the members of the Ladies' Committee for washing, Mrs. G-lazebrook for flowers for the altar, the Choir and Organist for their services, and Mrs. Sinclair for the care of the altar linen. Officers : — Parish Vestrjrmen (nominated, Messrs. Gushing and Campbell) ; Committee, Messrs. Lawton, Hellyer, and Sinclair (Treasurer) ; Mesdames Bateman, Cushing, Campbell, Glazebrook, Hague, Merritt, and Sinclair; Misses Allery and Campbell. At the annual meeting Mr. Noble Campbell presented a balance-sheet for the Sunday School. It has been the custom to subscribe 10/- a year from the Sunday School Funds to Dr. Barnado's Homes. Since thebalance m hand was a little over £1, it was agreed that 10/- should be given to the Melanesian Mission. MARRIAGK. July 23 — Charles Raymund Edgecumbe and Emily Charlotte Wells.
