New venue in town Hellhall is run by members of the DMP anti-social club. Nefarious, Tension, Warp Spasm and new hardcore bands Brainbiter and Dick Fux played there last weeked... Rowan Studios, an 8 track recording studio in Kaponga, have been busy with Nefarious recording eight new songs for a July cassette release. Their Friday the 13th Recordings is selling well. Hideously Disfigured have completed 15 songs for cassette release soon and death metallers Warp Spasms are recording soon. Brain Biter have also recorded some tracks.. .Tension have released a five song cassette called Sound of a Weapon and are preparing for their NZ tour with Pungent Stench in July. ... Sticky Filth have recorded five new songs at the Chicken Farm in Auckland. They sold a hundred t-shirts during their three week tour of Australia in April and will play Superliquorman in Palmerston North on July 2nd. SF t-shirts are available in NP from Survival Surplus, 112 Devon St West ... the Nod have a new drummer... Taranaki's new FM radio station Rock 100 FM has a 20% NZ music quota. BELINDA HOPE
