Casualty time again. On the eve of their north Island tour Squirm have split, as have Cell, Invisible Dead, Lurch and Immaculate Sun. But all is not lost as the two remaining members of Immaculate Sun have got together with Lurch's guitarist to form Sunsonic Thing and numerous other projects are coming together such as Heinous (a heavy five piece EST Swordfish cross) and Royce T. Doyster are back... the Performing Arts Theatre has closed dqe to the Trust that was running it deciding it was not heading in the direction they wanted. Several parties have put in offers for the theatre including SPAC but the council have indicated it may take several months before they decide what to do with it... Cokers is to reopen its doors to bands but probably only the usual cover variety. McGillacuddys are making a similar move ... EST returned from a successful North Island tour with a new demo tape they hope to have on sale 500 n... Love Freaks (nee Snakes) have released a tape as have Stick and Lifesize Playdoh Monsters who have also recorded an album which will be out on CD 500 n. .. Supertanker are working on their recording and singer/ guitarist Dave would like to point out he may be skinny but he's not blonde ... Steve Birse has joined former Throw band member Jeremy Taylor in Taylor's Cinematic... in one of the more curious moves this month, Michael Kime (ex-Breathing Cage etc) has joined Prestidigitator on bass, replacing Rhys Williams who has moved to Demise... former Prodigie Alan Clark has been joined in Wellington by another Prodigie, Andrew Moen and Potcheen'sJulia Deanstoform Irish rockers Banshee Real with three others. Clark and Mo will also be working with ex-Moa Hunter Richard Gibson on a

non-lrish project... the Undertakers are organising another Ska Fest for the end of this month. They are returning to Auckland in a couple of months to perform and finish their album which has 14 original songs and is called Last Waltz and Into Mischief.
