PROPERTY FOUND, STOLEN OR LOST.
Stolen, on the 4th August, 1865, from on board the “.William Miskin ’’ steamer, while lying at Dunedin Jetty, an open face go!d verge watch, gold dial, winds ;up on face, No. 10279, Nicholson maker; also a long gold chain attached:.; Identifiable ; the property of Edward Clarke.
Stolen, between the hours of 5 p.m. on the Bth, and 8 a.m. . on the 9th August, 1865, from an unfinished building in Princes-street, 1 slate ripper, 1 slate knife, I pick hammer, 1 leather pouch, and ; a small hag ' containing about 4 lbs. of r zinc nails, total value 30s. ; the property of John Edward James. Identifiable. . , £SO Reward. Stolen, from on board the schooner II Kiwi,” at Auckland, 1 cheque . for £ls, drawn on the Bank ; of New- Zealand by the ; Rev, W. Rouse, in favor of J. Bryers. 1 cheque for £7, drawn on the Bank of New Zealand by the Rev. W. Rouse,. in : favor of Rev. E. Skinner. . II one pound notes. 236; sovereigns. A man known on board as James Dumont, cook, has absconded. Height is about 5 feet 3 inches age about 35,round shoulders, stooping’ gait, dark brown beard.
The above reward will be paid on the apprehension and conviction of the .thief.
