HIGHWAY ROBBERY UNDER ARMS.

Mr. R. Dean was robbed of £32, 2s. at 10 a.m. 23rd August, near Mount Fitzgerald, Purau line, near..Akaroa,, by two men. ; • Descriptionlst. 26 years of age, 5 feet 9, inches, stout build, dark nan worn short, sandy whiskers worn round the chin, no moustache, fair complexion;, wore blue monkey jacket, dark tweed
trousers, black wideawake hat, and black and red Crimean shirt. 2nd man, no description beyond being dark complexioned, and that he was; accompanied by a red or yellow bull dog. The first described offender fired at Mr. Dean with a pistol, but missed him.
