Extracts from N.S. W. Police Gazette 20th January, 1864, p. 15. See Government Gazette, sth January, 1864, p. 3. £SOO Reward for the Apprehension of Daniel Morgan. Whereas the above named person is charged with the commission of several serious offences, and has hitherto evaded apprehension: It is hereby notified, that the Government will pay a reward of £SOO for such information as will lead to .the apprehension of the offender. All such information communicated by any person will in. all cases be regarded by the Police authorities .as strictly confidential, and in the event of payment of the reward above offered, the name of the recipient will not be disclosed. The above reward is offered in lieu of all others previously payable by Government for the apprehension or conviction of the offender above named. William Forster. Escaped Prisoner. —Fifty Pounds Reward. Alph Bird, alias Thompson , alias Falhenberg,■ alias Linden, &c., &c., arrested at Brisbane on a charge of forgery, and remanded to Sydney, escaped from the Brisbane lockup on the night of the 12th instant. Description. lie is about 27 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high; medium build, light brown hair, lightish red moustache, small whiskers on side of face, round featured, - right-eye tooth supposed to he artificial, the plate slightly discernible pigeon-toed, cheeks supposed to be rouged
of gentlemanly appearance ; a native of North Prussia well educated, speaks English well; supposed to be a draughtsman, and formerly an P officer,in the. Prussian service. £SO reward for .re-apprehension. This man is identical with Oscar Bird alias Vogel who left Dunedin, per “ Susannah Booth;” in the name of H. Williams, some five months since. . ■
