Deserted, on the 26th January, 1864, from the ship “ Brechin Castle,” at Port Chalmers: William Baxter able seaman, from 27 to 30 years old, 5 feet 9 inches high, fair complexion, full whiskers, dressed in canvass jumper and trousers. Alexander M'Loughlin, able seaman, 20 years old, 5 feet 7 inches high, fair complexion, light whiskers; dressed in blue trousers, blue flannel shirt and vest.

Robert Gourlay , an apprentice, 19 years old, 5 feet 7 inches high, downy whiskers; dressed in blue cloth trousers, shirt, and vest. All three natives of Scotland.
