Supreme Court. Dunedin. — Criminal Sittings. The next sittings of the above Court is fixed to be holden at Dunedin on Ist March, 1864.
INCURRING expenditure TO end OF financial YEAR. Offices of the Police Department, Dunedin, 4th January, 1864. Officers in charge of Districts and Escorts are reminded that the present “Financial” year terminates on the 31st March next, and that it Behoves them to use the utmost caution in inclining (comistently with the efficiency of the Department) any expenditure that may exceed the sums voted by the Provincial Council “lor the contingent expenses” of the force.
Care must also be taken that there be no outstanding accounts whatsoever, after the 31st March, as none will be recognized after that date, unless it can be most satisfactorily proved that the delay in submitting them for payment was unavoidable. St. John Branigan, Commissioner.
