Stolen about, a.m., the 30th October, 4863,. from ..the, dwelling-house, of George Nelson,;, George Street, Dunedin, the street Moor being left open, a large' open faced silver lever watch, No. 1421, with black silk guard sand brass key attached, the property Mr. -Nelson.

;; Stolen between the hours of 8 and 9pm the 13th November, 1863, from Millie’s Accommodation House, Kowrow • River, a Victorian stock saddle, made by Hard and Leveritt, Melbourne, whose names are on the plated nails, large knee-pads, worn through at : the point of the knees, new stirrup-irons, and a plain snaffle head-stall bridle, the property of A. Monteith, of Kowrow Station.
Stolen from some packages of clothing consigned to Mr. G. F. Hu lien, Princes-street, Dunedin, ex Persian, from London to Dunedin, while in transit, . 9.' beaver sacque'* coats and vests, various colors; ; the coats lined - with woollen plaid, and red flannel sleeve-linings ; 15 ribbed beaver sacque coats various colors, fancy woollen linings, . red flannel sleevelinings, and several superior f blue .plot monkey'jackets. The bever coats identifiable, having been manufactured at the London Establishment, and the only ones with red flannel sleeve-linings. .L, /
Between the hours of 2 p.m., the sth, and 9 -aim. the 7th November, 1863, the , store known *as " Reynolds’. Bonding tore, Jetty Wharf, Dunedin, was broken into, and . 8 boxes of tobacco, each containing 22lbs in halfpound plugs Wt re stolen therefrom ; the boxes were marked Mountaineer.
A warrant has been, issued by the Dunstan Bench,"dated 23rd October,’ 1863, - for the apprehension of John Liddell alias - Ilobcirtown Jack , and Neil, charged with having had in’ their possession, at a place known as Dead Horse Gully, in the Dunstan-Police District, on the 10th October, 1863, the carcases of two sheep, the; same having been , unlawfully obtained- contrary to the 15th section of the Town and Country Police Ordinance, John Liddell , alias Hobartown Jack, is about 40 years’ old; 5 feet 6£. inches high, lair complexion and hair, clean shaved, - broad face, flat nose, nearly bald; dressed in blue guernsey, moleskin trousers, v atertight boots, and tweed cap ; likely to have- with him a large black and tan bull-terrier dog. . , _ Neil, 26 years’ old, 5 feet 6 inches high, dark hair, no whiskers, vary small moustache, marks of a gun-shot wound on nose and. over left eye; dressed : ->-in ’ check shirt, .moleskin trousers, and watertight boots. . ;
A warrant has been' issued by the Dunedin Bench, for the apprehension' of Jaimes Roserode, charged with sending :'af threatening letter to one Mr. Henry Neale, of Dunedin, with intent to extort money. ~...•
