Messrs. Stronach, Morris, and Co., Ltd., report for week ended Tuesday, October 31, 1916, as follows: Rabbitskins.—Our next sale will be held on Monday, 6ch inst. Sheepskins.— We held our usual fortnightly sale to-day, when we submitted a small catalogue to the usual attendance of buyers. Competition was not so keen as late rates for inferior skins, and these showed a decline on late rates. Quotations : Best halfbred, to 12|d ; best crossbred, to 12|d ; crossbred, to 12§d; dead crossbred, to 81 d ; hoggets, to 12J.d ; dead hoggets, to 9sd; pelts, from 3d to 7§d. Hides.—Our next sale will be held on Thursday, 2nd inst. Oats. —The market remains as last quoted. Wheat.—All lines of prime quality are in strong demand, but there is very little coming to hand. Prime milling velvet, 5s 3d to 5s 6d ; Tuscan and velvetear, 4s lOd to 5s : best whole fowl wheat, 4s 4d to 4s 7d ner bushel (sacks extra). Potatoes.- — Choice freshly-picked table lines are in
strong demand. Prices have risen considerably during - the last week. Medium lines are also receiving more attention and can be placed at an advance on late rates. Choice tables, to £ll 10s; medium to good, £9 10s to £lO lOsj others, £7 to £8 per ton (sacks in). Chaff.— Consignments of late have been barely equal to the demand, and values have advanced. Prime heavy oaten sheaf is mostly .asked for. Best oaten sheaf, £4 \ to £4 5s ; medium to good, £3 10s to £3 15s per ton ' (sacks extra).
