November 30. The devotion of the Forty Hours’ Adoration will begin in St. Mary’s on Sunday, December 20. Dean Hills, S.M., V.G., at both the 9.30 and 11 o’clock Masses strongly urged all Catholic electors as a matter of conscience to record their votes, and use them in the interests of those who would best serve their interests and secure for them their rights, and this would be best done by supporting the candidates opposed to the referendum and Bible-,in-Schools League proposals. In the evening the parish committee met to further discuss the matter: and steps were taken to ascertain the views of the various candidates and the best means of placing them before the elector^.
