WEDDING BELLS

PFEIFER—GRIFFIN. An interesting wedding was celebrated at the Catholic church, Stafford, on Monday, December 29, Rev. Father Creed officiating. The contracting parties were Miss Mary Griffin, of Stafford, and Mr. Vincent James Pfeifer, of Hokitika. . The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. James Griffin, looked charming in a neat grey face cloth costume, and black satin hat with white lancer plumes. She was attended by her cousin, Miss Barry, who was becomingly attired in a biscuit colored costume, with cream hat to match. Mr. John Griffin acted as best man. At the conclusion of the ceremony the- ‘ Wedding March’ was played, by Miss Martini. The bridal party then drove to the residence of the bride’s mother, where the breakfast was partaken of and the usual toasts duly honored. In the evening the happy couple left for the South on a short honeymoon.
