Something must assuredly be dene, and ' done very soon, to provide means whereby our people will have opportunities of meeting one another, and becoming a more united body. The idea that is held regarding the matter at present, seems to be that a building with a basement for letting purposes and three other floors should be erected. The first floor could be used as a public hall available only for letting.. The remaining two floors would be used as club rooms for the se£ eral Catholic organisations. The whole concern is to be initiated and carried out en strictly business lines and as a business apart from parish matters i, until such time as the debt on the building is extinguished A rent will be charged the societies for the rooms they occupy. It is hoped to place more definite views betore the people in the course of a week or so.
