At) the Adtlington market there was a fair attendance, but the market was rather short. Fat Cattle. — 193 were yarded, including some extra prime steers, winch brought £0/10 to £12/5, and 16 spdciaj,- £I*2/5 to £15; others, £6/17/6 , to £9 ; heifers, £6 to £9/5 ; cows, £5/17/9 to £9/17/6. Prices per 1001 b averaged— extra, to 27/6 , prime, 21/- to 25/- , cow and mferior, to 23/-. t at Sheep. —The yarding was about the same as last wcfr . l>ut tiie quality was hardly so good. The demand was keen, and t(hc rise in prices was maintained. The prices were : Wethers, extra prime, to 81/6 ; "prime, 24/- to, 28/5 ; others, 21/9 to 23/9 ; ewes, 20/- to 33/3 ; merino wethcts, prime, 21/- to 26/10 ; otlhers, 16/9 to 20/6. Fat Lambs —jAbout 40 new season's, lambs were sold, tjhe best at 18/- to 24/9 ; otheis, 16/- to 17/&. pig S ._.\ large yardmg sold fairly well. Baooners were linn at 17/- to 60/-, equal to 4|d to 4^d per 1b ; porkers, 30/- to 37/-. equal to 5d per 1b ; stores, large, 23/6 to 28'/- ; medium, 15/- to 22/6 ; slickers and we)aners\Bß'/- to 12/6.
