OTAGO FARMERS' HORSE BAZAAR. The Otago Farmers' Co-operative Association of New Zealand (Limited) report :— We held our usjuali weekly, sale on Saturday last, when it was very pleasing for those concerned to see such a fine gathering of buyers £rom the country and town present, who all ro(u«'d competed well for nearly every lot offered. Oiur entry consisted of 37 horses, made up of first-rate cart mares, 1 and geldings, Very useful sipring-carters anjd ligfit harness horses, atn'd a few good hackneys, ntot high priced, but good useful sorts. Two of the cart geldings, three and four years old, came from Mr. Robert Hagan, of Tamai. Brought under keen competition they realised £60 each, seweral gel'dtngs (aged ahti showing signs of work) realise^ £35 to £40. Five useflul spring-carters, four to seven years
old, sold under Uhe hammer, wit!h spirited bidding, at from .£24 to\£3l.- A few ?^oofd, u&eful hackneys brought txom'.&lVt^ £17 ; in/wicr courts abti weeds fxjom £5 to £«. Hackneys ( y oTtWi'g sv aiid sound, gobd sort^), are saleable at from £!48-to-i£-27! 4 8-to-i£-27 ; weeily aired aged hacks and Ivamess horses, £3 to £7 ; upstanding carriage pairs (sound and quiet, good movers, with a good dasfti of style), £70 to £90.
