Napier, November 13. — The Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company (Limited) cabled to-day : — ' Frozen m»at market : To-day's quotations are — Mutton, Canterbury, 4Jd per lb ; Napier, Wellington, and North Island, 4|d. Lamb : First quality, s|d ; second quahtv s£d.' Sydney, November 13. — Quotations for local wheat hay» advanced to 5h 5d and 5s fid. There have been large sales in Californian at 5s 4d. Some country mills are closing owing to the scarcity of grain. Sydney, November 14. — Sales of milling wheat veerc made at 5s 7d ; chick (local , 5s 6d ; Now Zealand, 5s 3d. London, November 14. — The wheat markets are quiet, but steady. The Continental is slightly firmer. Cargoes ere neglected. Californian November-December shipment, 60s 3d. London, November 16. — Frozen Meat : Canterbury lamb, s|d ; Dunedin and North Island, s|d ; all others, unaltered. Wellington, November 17.— The Agent-General's cablegram, dated London, the 16th, states : — ' Mutton : Market dull ; prices unchanged. Lamb : The market is weak ; Canterbury lamb, 5f d ; other New Zealand lamb, ssd. Beef : The market is quiet ; New Zealand hinds, 4|d ; fores, 4d. Butter, steady. The Whakatane butter arrived in good condition ; price, 112s nominally. Cheese : The market is firm, and cheese is in good demand ; price, 595. Light shipments are expected.'

Mr. P. Meenan, King street, reports :— Wholesale prices only— Oats : Milling, 2s 7d to 2s 9d ; feeding, 2s 2d to 2s Bd. Wheat (good demand) : Milling, 4s to 4s 3d ; fowls', 3s 4d to 3s Bd. Potatoes: Prime Derwents, £4 ss; old kidneys, £3 10s. Chaff : (Inferior to medium, £3 to £3 10s ; prime, £5 ss. Straw : Pressed, £1 15s ; loose, £2. Flour : 2001 b sacks, £11 10s ; 501 b £12 5e ; 251 b, £12 10s. Oatmeal : 251 b, £13 10s. Butter : Dairy, 8d to lOd ; factory, lid. Cheese : Dairy, s*d ; factory, 6£d. Eggs, lOd.
