NEW HEADFORD.

(From an occasional Correspondent.) A veby pleasing entertainment was given in the schoolroom by the children attending the Catholic school, New Headford, Lincoln, to

celebrate the annual break up and distribution of prizes on Thursday, December 21. The programme was long and varied, and the little ones ware deservedly applauded for the clever manner in which they acquitted themselves. After tbe first part had been gone through the prizes were distributed by the Bey Father Foley, who, before doing so, commentel favourably on the good work achieved and expressed a hope that they would begin the New Year with renewed vigour. During the evening the teacher, Mis 3 Hegarty, was made the recipient of two souven ; rs of goodwill, viz., a workbox from the schoolchildren, presented by Misses McVeagh and Morrish and another article the name of which I did not learn at the time, by the members of the cboir, represented by Misses Henley and Nolan.
