Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Co. report as follows :—: — The entries for our sale to-day were principally of town and dealers' lots. As is usual at holiday time the attendance was very small and the demand for all classes slack. Considering the circumstances, a fairly large proportion changed hands, most of the salea being of strong 'bus horses and light harness horses and hacks. We quota — For first-class draughts (extra heavy), L 23 to L3O ; good ordinary draughts (yonng), LlB to L 22 ; medium draughts, Ll2 to Ll6 ; as:ed draughts, L 6 to LlO ; good hack 9 and harness hor-e?, Ll2 to Ll6 ; medium hacks aad harness horses, L 7 to L 9 ; li^ht and inferior hacks and harness horses, L 2 10s to L 5. Mr F. Meenan. King street, reports :— Wh Resale price — Oata : Is 7d to Is lid (bags extra), Wheat (sacks included) : Milling, 28 9d to 3s 3d, demanl dull; fowls', Is 9d to 2a 3d. duff : Inferior to medium, good supply, demand dull, £1 10s 0J to £2 5s 0d ; prime up to £2 15s o<l, good demand ; hay, oaten, quality inferior, demand dull, £2 10-i to £3 0s ; ryegrMPs, £3 oa, ot good quality. Potatoes, old market bare, demand good, £2 0$ 01; new provincial kidneys, £7 Os od. good demand; imported, £6 10s- Oil. Flour : Roller, £9 0s to £9 15* ; Btonp, £8 0s to £8 15s, demand quiet. Oatmeal, bulk, £8 10s ; 251bs, £9 0s to £9 10a. Butter, fresh 6d to 9d ; potted, demand good, 8d for prime. Eggs lOd pel dtzen.
