MEB8&8. Whight, Stkphbnson AND Co. report as follows :—: — The feature of Sa'urday'n sale won the magnificent draft of light horses (28 in number) from Mr John Grigg's Longbeach estate. The sale of thepe at'racted buyers from far and near, and the one opiniin expressed by equine judges was thit, t*ken as a lot, the borsps offered were the best that have been seen in Dunedin for years. We note a good many inquiries for 6trong harries* horses for grocers' bakers' and butcners order carts, and ror horsts suitable f<>r trams. There is also a demand for medium draught?. First-class draughts (extra heavy), L 25 to L3O ; good ordinary draughts, M 2 to Ll6 ; aged draughts, L 6 to LlO ; good hacks and harness horses, LI2 to Ll6 ; medium hacks and harness horses, L 7 to L'J ; ligat and inferior hacks and harness horse?, L 2 10s to L 5.
